A vacuum mattress used in conjunction with a stretcher during rescue and transportation to medical facilities provides whole body immobilization. The immobilization of a patient is paramount when multiple injuries are present or when diagnosis is difficult. When used with a cervical collar, a vacuum mattress can provide total and effective spinal immobilization.

A stretcher fitted with a vacuum mattress provides further comfort for the patient. Our vacuum mattresses are suitable for applications in the Health Service, Paramedic and Mountain Rescue Organisations.

To ensure optimum performance our vacuum mattresses are manufactured from polyurethane coated Nylon together with strong seams and proven valves offering excellent wear properties and the ability to withstand the rigorous use to which they are subjected. Each mattress is subject to vacuum tests ensuring optimum performance in the field.
