Non-Sterile Disposal and Protection from Sharps Injury
The threats of a sharps injury to a member of health care staff through the handling and disposal of needles and blades after use is a growing concern. As a result a number of the states in America have made it law that anti-needle stick devices are to be used. The adoption of these types of products is to prevent clinical staff from the potential threat of infection from Hepatitis C, Hepatitis B and HIV. Our disposal pad has been developed to safely dispose of blades and needles after use. The adhesive pad allows for the safe disposal of needles and blades which are placed on the adhesive. The pad is folded over and the risk of injury from the sharp is removed. It can then be disposed of safely.
